Wonderful place and people, got here late in the night and the host was kind enough to walk me through my to my camp site on my phone. Definitely worth stopping by!

We recently had the pleasure of spending several days at Jomeokee Campground, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The campground is exceptionally well maintained, with spacious campsites that provide a comfortable balance of privacy and accessibility. One of the campground’s greatest assets is its setting. Nestled in the shadow of Pilot Mountain, the views are beautiful, especially during sunrise and sunset. It’s a peaceful place where you can truly relax while still being only minutes from hiking, local attractions, and the nearby towns. Check-in was refreshingly simple - a quick text message to signal our arrival, followed by a brief visit from Tom to welcome us to the campground. It was a warm, friendly, and genuinely enjoyable experience. It’s clear that Tom and the team take great pride in both the campground and the experience they provide for their guests. One of the unexpected highlights of our stay was Cindy, the resident Border Collie. She stopped by several times to visit, enjoy a drink of water, and play fetch with her favorite sticks. On the morning of our departure, she even escorted us out of the campground, making sure we followed the preferred exit route. It was a charming touch that perfectly reflected the welcoming atmosphere of the campground. We found the surrounding area to be spectacular. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring Pilot Mountain, Mayberry (Mount Airy), and the scenic countryside of the Yadkin Valley. Whether you’re interested in hiking, photography, or simply sitting quietly while listening to the birds and the wind through the trees, there’s something here for everyone. Jomeokee Campground is one of those places that leaves you looking forward to your next visit before you’ve even packed up. We would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone traveling through the area, whether for a weekend getaway or as a base camp for exploring northwest North Carolina. We’ll definitely be back.

At first I wasn't sure as it is as basic as can be but after a couple days I really enjoyed the calm and quiet and the great view of Pilot Mtn.

We stayed in our camper. It’s easy to reserve a spot and it’s a nice campground. The dogs are friendly and so is the owner. Better than other local campgrounds who charge for visitors. No charge here!! We’ll be there year after year.

Totally exceeded my expectations! Camp Host accommodated me with an on-site upgrade. Super friendly! I camped at 47 and the view of Pilot Mountain was just spectacular. Bathhouse was clean and HOT showers available. Great campground, highly recommended. Let’s of room for my pup to run around and play fetch. Review 2 : April 15 to 17, 2026 I booked campsite 41 and with a rather large tent we were able to move to site 43 (Thank you Tom)! The view from this site was extraordinarily beautiful, both sunset and sunrise viewing, beautiful colors enhancing Pilot Mountain. The campground was quiet with only two other campers, guessing as it is the middle of the week. Hot showers and flushing toilets were available. The sites have electrical and water outlets. We had some truck trouble on arrival, Tom came to check up on what we needed and thruout Thursday checked in on us throughout the day. Tom recommended Amazing Thailand, we had a scrumptious dinner! Plenty of room for my dog Obie to run around and a tennis ball! She is one tired pup! We enjoyed our stay. 10 Stars Plus!
