Kaitlin VanderLindenExcellent trip down a section of the Dan River. Equipment was in great condition, our shuttle driver gave good advice for navigating the frequent little rapids over the rocky river bed. We launched at 11 am, took a break for lunch on a small beach, then reached the take out point (where we parked) at 1:30 pm. Highly recommended, challenging enough to keep us attentive but we never felt out of control.

Chloe WilsonThis was one of the better day trips i have been on in NC. The whole experience was so rejuvenating and the staff was extremely friendly. When we arrived, we signed some paperwork and then loaded onto a van where the kind staff member drove us to the drop off point and gave us great tips about navigating the river. Everything else was on our own time and lasted about 3 hours in total. Bring lots of sunscreen and cold water! We had a cooler in our canoe and it ended up being perfect. I would suggest making/asking for a canoe or kayak that has backs on the seats. We were pretty tired and sore. At the end of the “ride” they had an employee at the bottom of the stairs to help drag the canoe back up to the main building. Great atmosphere!
