kevin sloanOur class of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities recently had the immense pleasure of visiting Mabe’s Berry Farm, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Ms. Kristie delivered an exceptionally informative presentation filled with both expertise and genuine passion for agriculture, sustainability, and community. Her ability to engage our students was remarkable; they were attentive, inquisitive, and inspired throughout the visit, asking thoughtful questions and eagerly participating in discussion. It was evident that she not only possesses a profound knowledge of farming, but also a sincere gift for teaching and connecting with others. The strawberries we purchased were absolutely phenomenal—vibrantly red, perfectly plump, and among the most flavorful we have ever tasted. The quality and care invested into the farm’s produce are unmistakable. Our students were thrilled with the entire experience, and we are already looking forward to returning for squash, zucchini, and watermelons later in the season. Supporting local farmers like Mabe’s Berry Farm is deeply important, and this visit reaffirmed the value of community-centered agriculture and education. We wholeheartedly encourage everyone to visit, support this wonderful farm, and experience the warmth and excellence that Ms. Kristie and her team so graciously provide.
