I had takeout. I ate the quesadilla vista especial. Has steak, chicken, shrimp, sauce, & cheese. Comes with a side of lettuce that has tomatoes & sour cream, chips, salsa, & guacamole.

As someone who's been a fan of other local Mexican restaurants, I was extremely excited to finally get around to trying out Linda Vista. Unfortunately, my first impressions were extremely poor. Comically poor, honestly. The first issue I encountered was online ordering. They offer an online ordering option via their website, which is a great, modern thing to have these days. The problem, though, is that you are REQUIRED to sign up for a service called "Grub-togo" which, from what I could find, is a locally run online food ordering/delivery service exclusive to Stokes County. The problem isn't that you get redirected to another website. The issue is being required to sign up for a service before placing an order. I understand that it's better than going through something like DoorDash or Grubhub due to the fees and such that those companies charge both the consumer and the business, but as a consumer, I should not be required to make an account before placing my order. The second issue: after having made my account and placing an order, I went to go pick up said order, and the restaurant stated they were never alerted about my order. Obviously, this is annoying, but after showing proof of my order being placed, they were able to remake it, and in about 10 minutes, I was given a wrapped-up bag of food. Great. Once I got home, I opened the bag, and to my surprise, I was missing a large portion of food. I had ordered the Bean Burrito and Cheese Enchilada meal, and on the website, it stated that it included both beans and rice on the side. The beans and rice were missing. I gave them a call, and the individual who picked up the phone tried to explain to me that the meal I ordered wasn't actually supposed to come with any sides. After a brief disagreement over the phone, they then told me to come into the store, and they would make it right. Once I got there, they gave me two orders of beans and rice, which is great. Once I finally got home and was able to settle down and eat, the food had gotten rather cold. Despite it being cold, it was honestly pretty good. I think my overall rating would've been higher if it wasn't for all of the unreasonable friction in placing and receiving my order. From a purely food perspective, yeah, I definitely recommend it, but I would say to be cautious if placing an online order as of right now because there is clearly a consistency issue that they are aware of and that has not been resolved.

“I might be able to eat a little more”, is what I said while stuffed, trying to finish my delicious Vista Especial. Steak, chicken, and shrimp on rice with onions, peppers, and cheese. I don’t come to King often so I can’t speak to the food there, but this spot rivals many Mexican restaurants in Winston Salem. The servers are super nice and quick, the interior is really cool, and they have a huge selection of food and drinks. The price point for the amount of food you receive is impeccable! I just did a lot of running earlier today and this is exactly what I needed after. This was exactly what I was looking for tonight!

My beer mug was clean, didn't smell sour like most beer glasses. My beer was cold and delicious, same as my food. It was extremely clean, which I love. The server was very friendly and attentive, and they were very busy, we were a party of 12, and he was able to keep up. I believe their salsa is the best I've ever had. Every time I visit King, I make sure I eat here before I leave.
