Samariya Boru-KelleyMy time here was great. The hike was a challenge, especially with the hills and rocky terrain. The gift at the end of all that is the beautiful view. The park grounds are well taken care of and I had no issues during my time there. Ensure that you wear the right gear for any hiking. Some of the trails are very rocky at certain parts so make sure you maintain your safety to enjoy the park. Definitely would recommend for those who enjoy nature and a good hike.

Mosharrof HossainVisited today (May 10). Green everywhere, so beautiful! Would recommend hiking with a bottle of water. You can see Greensboro ❤️ on the horizon. Glad to see a little shortcut on the trail (should have noticed while climbing lol). Overall a great experience. Met tourists from Poland and France!

George Randy BassYesterday’s hike on the Moore’s Mill Loop at Hanging Rock State Park was exactly the kind of trail I enjoy — scenic, peaceful, and just challenging enough to feel earned. The Catawba Rosebay were in bloom throughout sections of the trail, adding soft color against the rocks, streams, and deep green forest. With over 1,000 feet of elevation gain, the climb definitely gets your attention in places, but the changing scenery keeps pulling you forward. One of those hikes where the journey itself is the reward.

Kerrie PruittVisited March 1, 2026 - Went early morning to avoid the crowds! Park is absolutely gorgeous and well maintained! So many trails and so much todo! We decided to do the Waterfall Challenge, visiting all 5 waterfalls the park has to offer. (Window Falls, Tory’s Den Falls, Hidden Falls, Upper Cascades & Lower Cascades)We also hiked to Tory’s den cave. We enjoyed the picturesque views and already planning a trip soon to do some more exploring!

Kayla christopherOur family recently camped at this state park this past weekend, explored some beautiful trails and checked out the parks visitors center. They have a lake and outdoor activities that’s open during the summer season, definitely worth a visit for all those who enjoy hiking and waterfalls. Be sure to check out the MAP, some trails were difficult for our family members. *The tent/trailer campground will be undergoing construction later this year for improvements.
