Francisco Community Park
Francisco Park is a growing community park located in the Francisco community of northwest Stokes County near Westfield. Created from approximately 15 acres donated to Stokes County in 2023, the park reflects a grassroots vision to provide a welcoming place for outdoor recreation, community gatherings, and environmental education. Phase One introduced scenic walking trails, picnic areas, benches, native landscaping, a Monarch Butterfly Waystation, parking, signage, and restroom facilities. Future improvements are planned to include ADA-accessible features, picnic shelters, a large community pavilion, and additional recreational space. Developed through a partnership between Stokes County and Our Communities of Northwest Stokes Foundation, Francisco Park has already become a gathering place for local events and activities. Surrounded by the rural beauty of northwest Stokes County, the park celebrates community spirit, nature, and the agricultural heritage of Francisco.
