Experience mountain cottage living in a stunningly restored 1950’s home! A bright, comfortable base to call home while you explore Pilot Mountain State Park, Mount Airy, (home of Mayberry from the famous Andy Griffith Show), Hanging Rock State Park, romantic wineries, and life in a mountain town. Climbing, hiking, biking, and horse riding abound in this area. A perfect stay for a romantic getaway or a friends vacation.
The space
The home has been creatively restored to remember the feel of a by gone era. It is adorned with antiques from the area with special touches relating to the history of Pinnacle and Pilot Mountain.
Enter into the fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to make meals and bake. We provide coffee, tea, Keurig cups for the new Keurig maker, and continental breakfast choices. Large windows make this room bright and cheerful! The electric fireplace adds warmth to your morning coffee. The dining room is conveniently located next to the kitchen.
There is a sitting room including a television with doors that can be closed for privacy.
The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and a new twin size day bed. It includes a big screen TV, electric fireplace, and Home-medic sound machine.
The other side of the house is a separate apartment with a fire door that can be closed for a complete privacy. It does not rent as a separate unit.
In between the master and second bedroom is a kitchenette with microwave, small refrigerator, Keurig machine, and coffee maker. The second bedroom has two extra large, twin size beds, with a cozy, electric fireplace and its own full-size television. There are two full size bathrooms with a bathtubs and shower on each side of the home. The separate laundry room has a new washer and dryer.
There is a large covered porch in front of the house and a new roomy deck in the back of the home. There are plenty of places to spread out and maintain privacy. You can see Pilot Mountain Knob from the back yard!
Guest access
You will have access to the entire home. There is plenty of parking in the back of the home.
