Matthew BertschMan, I tell you what. I love trying local spots, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. The tea was perfectly sweet, their service was fast and welcoming. We tried the chicken Phillies. Delicious and more than plenty to fill you up. The fries were great. Don't get me started on these cookies too. These things are giant and a steal for the price. (Less than 2$) and they taste just like grandma made them. Sooooo if you're hiking Hanging rock and looking for a great bite to eat with a welcoming atmosphere for the family it's just a few miles up the road. Go show them some love ❤️

Stormie CraigCame here for lunch. Had an incident with a spilled drink. Staff was very kind and considerate helped me clean up the mess. They was also patient with me having 2 toddlers. Food came out that was hot and fresh. Waitress took my kids food to cool it off. Would recommend this place 11/10!!! Staff treats you like family. Definitely worth it!

anthony levinerLet me tell ya bout this place right here. A couple times a year we head on up to walnut cove to do a little camping and tube the river. This little restaurant is smack dab in the middle between where we camp and where we tube. Great food, great service and priced perfectly. We eat breakfast there every morning and supper a few times during the trip We've become some what famous there because of our experience with hillside tubing ( definitely check the reviews before you tube there). The waitress Kristy is a hard working, smack talking delight so tip her good. If you're going for breakfast go early it gets busy. If Kristy is working let her know those South Carolina people said hey and this review better get me free dessert. 😁😁

Steph RThis ain't a fancy-pants dinner, but a hidden gem for delicious, down-home cooking! A real mom and pop hole in the wall. Definitely off the beaten path but if you're ever in the area, passing through or out hiking (hanging rock area) stop by for a meal. Place looked closed when we first pulled up it was just the tinted windows. Super nice lady helped us out. GET THE FLOUNDER! It was amazing!!!! So moist tender and flaky great flavor perfect balance of fish to breading. The portions were huge! We got a basket of fried pickles and couldn't finish them. We were really hoping we could get a basket of hush puppies but the other table had ordered the last 3 baskets. Each basket could've fed a whole family and they said they were really good. The onion rings were huge and perfectly battered. Unfortunately we shouldn't have gotten the mushroom burger it wasn't worth it, it was pretty bland and kinda soggy. Stick to the incredible seafood and you won't be disappointed! This hidden gem may be off the beaten path, but it's worth the detour. Side note bathrooms could use an update but clean enough especially if you just got done hiking.
