Our chalet is only one of two, in a gated and secluded 43 acre property of pristine woods, creeks and civil war era trails. Wide-eyed deer, wild turkeys, calling birds, turtles, butterflies and all sorts of critters roam free in our natural paradise.
We are next to the lazy Dan River, well known for canoeing, tubing, kayaking and swimming, in the quaint little town of Danbury, population 108, located between the Post Office, the Fire Department and across from a 19th century church so tiny and charming that weddings and baptisms have to limit guests due to its small capacity. It's bell tower, however, holds the power to call your attention with its by-gone era tolls.
